It is time we rethink and redefine evangelism. Or better yet, it is time we remember what evangelism really is. It is not a cringe worthy knocking on doors or shouting hell, fire, and brimstone on a street corner. It is the good news.
Jesus said many things that caused trouble by not being what people wanted to hear. Among those are when he told Peter that he was free from taxes, but to go pay them anyways. Christians are to bear witness in their lives by living exemplary lives as Christ did.

Stop living for the moment and start living for the miracle. True life and happiness does not come from right here and now, but it comes from something bigger, something greater, something more. Live for the miracle.
Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. Yes he is eternal, but he is the same today as he was when he walked the earth.
We as Christians are called to live behind enemy lines. We live in enemy occupied territory, but not enemy owned territory. We as the church must not become so inwardly focused that we forget our mission to walk alongside God in the expansion of his kingdom.
What does it mean for Christian communities to be campfire communities? It means we are a light in the darkness, a welcoming presence, and a signal of encouragement to our brothers and sisters.
