My name is Joshua Gentry. I am 24 years old. I grew up in Spring, Texas on the north side of Houston. I attended high school at Westfield/Carl Wunsche where I graduated in 2012 near the top of my class and played baseball. In high school, I met the love of my life, Taylor Elizabeth Gentry. We married on January 4, 2014 and have since had two amazing young children. Carter Jaymes was born October 14, 2015 and Margaret Elizabeth was born on July 18, 2017.
In the fall of 2012, I enrolled at Abilene Christian University where I graduated from in 2016 with a degree in Biblical Text and a focus in youth ministry. Since graduating high school, I have served in multiple youth ministry internships at churches. After Taylor and I married, I served in roles as the assistant director of the Boys & Girls Club at Highland Church and as the director of a school age department of a daycare. Most recently, I just finished 2 years of full-time youth ministry in Palestine, Texas. Due to the best interests of our family, Taylor and I have made the hard decision to move back home to Houston.
I love the St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Texans, and Rockets. I enjoy sports, music, family, youth ministry, and coffee.
Speaking of coffee, I love whole bean dark roast coffee if you ever are wondering of a gift for me.
